Massimo and Flavia Guardigli will be at the starting line in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on November 24 at 12:30, ready to set sail in the Multihull category for the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) aboard their C Cat 38, *Bellamossa – Città di Fiumicino*. Over 150 boats and 1,200 sailors are expected to embark on the 2,700-mile journey from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean, following the trade winds.

This event brings together multiple facets of the sailing world: it’s a delivery voyage, a competitive race for performance sailors, a transatlantic crossing for seasoned navigators, and a test of life at sea for crews made up of friends and families. For all involved, it’s a grand maritime adventure lasting between 18 and 21 days. *Bellamossa – Città di Fiumicino* is eager to rise to the challenge and put its performance to the test on such a long route.

“This C Cat 38 has been slightly modified in terms of onboard equipment and setup, just to provide a bit more comfort for the long passages,” said Massimo Guardigli. Indeed, after reaching the Caribbean, *Bellamossa – Città di Fiumicino* is scheduled to participate in the Miami Boat Show before embarking on a global circumnavigation.

This journey represents the fulfillment of a dream for Massimo and Flavia Guardigli and will also serve as a “super test” for the C Cat 38, a production model that has already proven itself. “It’s an honor for us to compete in such an important event while proudly flying the Italian flag and representing the City of Fiumicino. It’s a way to highlight the work of many skilled professionals: the C Cat 38 is entirely built in Italy, in Fiumicino, where the best craftsmen and sailing experts create boats of exceptional quality,” Flavia Guardigli emphasized, as the traditional celebrations began in Gran Canaria to mark the start of the rally.
