Hydra made a quiet debut with a DNS, followed by two first-place finishes and a second-place result in the final race. These placements were enough to secure the championship victory, finishing two points ahead of Anda Ya and three points ahead of Biba.
A great achievement for the owner and his crew, who train consistently and meticulously study every possible upgrade to make the Comet 36s increasingly efficient.
“On the final day, we pulled more than 15 minutes ahead of the rest of the fleet after just three legs, before a sudden drop in the wind set us back by nearly 27 minutes. Then, gusts of up to 28-30 knots carried us straight to the finish line in second place in real-time. My whole team and I are thrilled to have won the championship with a boat originally purchased for vacations!”
