C-Cat 65: Where Engineering and Design shape Emotions

In  the world of high-performance luxury multihulls, the C-Cat 65 makes a bold statement: comfort, alone, is not enough. True sailing means surfing lightly, moving fast, feeling every knot of wind transforming into pure emotion.

The C-Cat 65 is the result of Comar Yachts’ extensive experience: over fifty years of boatbuilding heritage and thousands of yachts built, many of which have distinguished themselves on racing circuits worldwide. This technical legacy is not just a source of pride, it’s a guarantee. Every line, structural detail and material, reflects the vision of real sailors, mariners, with thousands of sea miles behind them.

This project is the product of passion and expertise, brought to life by a world-class team: Enrico Contreas, renowned for his high-performance multihull designs; Marco Amadio and his design studio; Naval Design for structural calculations, FEM verifications, and CFD simulations; and, of course
under the wise eye of  Comar Yachts’ technical office.

An extraordinary result, born from over 4,500 hours of design and 40,000 hours of skilled craftsmanship.

Carbon: where it  matters most

The difference isn’t always visible but it becomes unmistakable the moment you touch the helm.
You feel it in every tack, in the silent and progressive acceleration.
Carbon fiber is used not just where it looks good, but most importantly, where it truly makes a difference:

  • A full carbon deck drastically reduces weight aloft and lowers the center of gravity.
  • Carbon daggerboards: ultra-light and incredibly strong, delivering upwind performance previously unthinkable for a cruising catamaran.
  • Carbon made Crossbeam, bowsprit, bulkheads, and structural parts to ensure torsional rigidity and precise handling, even in the most demanding sailing conditions.
  • A pre-preg carbon mast guarantees maximum lightness, strength, and aerodynamic control.
  • The hulls are built from a carbon-glass composite, offering a balance of stiffness, lightweight performance, and durability under stress.

The result?  A rigid, lightweight, and responsive platform that translates every wind shift into smooth acceleration with razor-sharp control.

This is not just a boat that sails, it speaks, it listens, it engages with the sea.

Total Control: Vacuum Infusion, Epoxy Resin, Carbon

The C-Cat 65’s structure is built using a double-cut Corecell sandwich infused with epoxy resin and carbon fiber through advanced vacuum infusion processes. Few shipyards only apply this level of technology on such a scale. The result is outstanding weight-to-stiffness ratio, minimized material waste, and unmatched structural consistency.

Every bulkhead, longitudinal beam, and structural element is both bonded and tabbed; even the furniture contributes to overall rigidity, ensuring long-term durability and strength.

Every component is designed to optimize performance: lightened where possible, reinforced where necessary. Nothing is left to chance, every kilo is considered, every fiber has a precise purpose.

Engineering Meets Craftsmanship: True Luxury sits in the Details

Comar Yachts has preserved a production philosophy that ensures total control over the build process, from lamination to final finishes. There are no automated assembly lines, only expert hands, carefully selected materials, and the time needed to do things properly: with skill, precision, and passion.

The interiors are not shelf furnishings but custom designed spaces, tailored to the owner’s preferences with artisan-level attention to detail proudly carried by our master carpenters and cabinetmakers.

This is authentic Italian yachtbuilding, where aesthetics meet technical excellence, and beauty serves function.

The layout is unique among multihulls of this size: the owner’s suite is positioned aft, creating a spacious, safe and comfortable environment, even on challenging passages.

The reverse rake carbon coachroof, featuring inverted windows, evokes the style of offshore working vessels like ocean-going tugs and explorers. This striking design, true to Comar’s philosophy, is not just about looks, it offers tangible benefits such as superior visibility and reduced solar glare thanks to minimal light refraction.

No Compromises. Just Excellence

Comar Yachts, with the C-Cat 65, reaffirms its commitment to the thrill and essence of sailing, without compromise.

The C-Cat 65 is the result of bold, uncompromising choices in design and technology. It’s a yacht for those who demand the highest standards, in his allround meaning, both in construction and in their experience on the water.
